Esthetic Dentistry
Esthetic dentistry is committed to tooth restoration for both esthetic and functional purpose. Knowledge of esthetic dentistry is rapidly expanding and with that, the development of new and improved materials, such as porcelains for thin veneers and strong composites that outlast older filling materials. As well, the development of restorative techniques that use these materials, like tooth contouring and tooth-colored restorations, restore teeth both functionally and esthetically. Through the use of these new materials and techniques, the color, shape, and texture of teeth can now be changed and strengthened for restorative purposes with minimal damage to the tooth surfaces or the surrounding tissue, and while maintaining or improving esthetic quality.

Tooth Whitening

The whitening process is effective on most discolored teeth. Darker stains, such as those caused by antibiotics are more difficult to whiten. The degree of whiteness will vary from patient to patient, depending on the structure of the tooth. For tooth Whiteninguses we use hydrogen peroxide gels and a heat or light source, these treatments lighten your teeth by six to eight shades in one to three visits, and sometimes less. The light source can be a plasma arc lamp or a laser. The dentist applies the gel to your teeth, then shines the light source, quickening the work of the gel. When a lamp is used, three twenty-minute gel applications are required. When a laser is used, the dentist treats each tooth individually.

Dental Implants (Prosthodontics)

Prosthdontics handles the most debilitating of dental problems, the loss of teeth. It involves the replacement of missing teeth by crowns, bridges and dentures.Fillings are dental restorations used to repair a tooth damaged by decay (caries). It is common for a tooth to have decay but not cause any sensitivity or discomfort, or cause minor discomfort, such teeth are candidates for fillings. When tooth decay reaches the point of causing pain a crown and possibly a root canal maybe be needed. Regular dental checkups will catch any decay while it is still minor in nature and your best means to avoid root canal. With a filling, the decay is removed from the tooth and the cavity created is then prepared or shaped to accommodate a filling material. This preparation will ensure a proper seal and bonding of the material and the tooth. There are many types of filling material in common use today (amalgam, composite, ceramic, gold) and each has different preparation requirements.Amalgam is a metallic gray, silver & mercury alloy which hardens or cures overtime after placement.

Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics)
Endodontics is the root canal treatment of teeth. Teeth which are carious or fractured are not extracted but treated endodontically to serve as regular functional teeth.

Indication of Endodontics:-
• Spontaneous pain or throbbing pain during or after chewing
• Sensitivity to hot and cold foods or liquids.
• Severe decay or an injury (which can lead to an abscess or infection).
Treatment usually takes from one to three appointments, depending on the tooth and circumstances.

Root canal therapy is simply the removal of diseased or non-viable nerve and blood supply tissue from inside the tooth and roots.

Teeth Alingment (Orthodontics)
Orthodontics is the realignment of irregular teeth and redirecting of jaw growth in a growing child to achieve ideal facial proportions.Orthodontic treatment at a later age is much easier. During an initial examination, we will evaluate your child's facial growth, spacing between teeth, crowding, extra or missing teeth. And they will look for habits like tongue-thrusting and thumb-sucking that may hinder normal growth and development. These problems can change tooth alignment as well as alter facial appearance. If your child doesn't require dental braces, most dentists will schedule periodic follow-up exams while the permanent teeth are coming in and the face and jaws continue to grow.

Cosmestic Dental Treatment
Cosmetic Dentistry is an "art form" devoted to the enhancement of smiles. A thing of beauty is joy forever.We evaluates the health and appearance of your teeth, recommending the best type of treatment for you, and thus crafting a more beautiful smile. A smile is a curve that sets                                                              everything straight.

Painless Tooth Extraction
Tooth extraction can be a painless procedure. Normally a tooth is firmly encased in a bony socket and attached by a ligament.Tooth extractions can be performed by either your Seattle Dentist, Bellevue Dentist, or a specialist called an oral surgeon. Impaction of the wisdom teeth may require that these specific teeth must be extracted even though the teeth themselves are not damaged.Tooth extraction without an antibiotic when you have had RF can be dangerous.

Before extracting a tooth, the dentist will give a local anaesthesia via injection with a syringe.Tooth extraction is performed for many reasons. Teeth are often removed because they are impacted, that is, they cannot erupt normally on their own.Tooth extraction healing takes only about five to seven days to be mostly complete. After seven days the healing is good enough to eat the harder foods without causing pain.

Dental Impaction Surgeries
Dental impactions are often known to occur when there is not enough room in the jaw for new molar teeth to erupt properly. This can lead to a variety of dental problems, including cysts. Generally, Impaction Surgeries are common during wisdom tooth removals.

The operation is usually done as a day case under local anaesthesia. This completely blocks feeling in the gum and you will stay awake during the operation. You may be offered a sedative to help you relax during the operation. If you go to a dental hospital, you may be given general anaesthesia. This means you will be asleep during the procedure. Our dentist will advise which type of anaesthesia is most suitable for you.

Flap Gum Surgeries

Periodontal surgery or flap surgery is any surgical procedure used to treat periodontitis or modify the morphology of the periodontium.

Periodontal surgery will provide:
1. Access to root surface exposed to periodontitis for root debridement. This is the primary indication for      periodontal flap surgery.
2. Provide access to periodontal bony defects for correction by osseous or regenerative procedures.
3. Provide an opportunity to remove periodontal tissue infected by periodontal pathogens.

The Therapeutic indications for periodontal surgical procedures may be any combination of the following:
•  Allow more efficient and effective scaling and root planing.
•  Reduce or eliminate periodontal pockets.
•  Remov inflamed periodontal tissue.
•  Remove gingival overgrowths.
•  Create an environment that will support regeneration of new attachment apparatus.
•  Correct mucogingival deformities that require root coverage or gingival augmentation.

The DIAGNOSTIC INDICATIONS OF PERIODONTAL SURGERIES ARE:
•  Biopsies
•  Exploratory flap procedures.

Dentures
People wear dentures to replace lost or missing teeth so they can enjoy a healthy diet and smile with confidence. Dentures are made of either acrylic (plastic) or metal. A 'complete' or 'full' denture is one which replaces all the natural teeth in either the upper or lower jaws

.A 'partial' denture fills in the spaces left by lost or missing teeth. It may be fastened to your natural teeth with metal clasps or 'precision attachments'.
It may be required to take measurements and impressions of your mouth, then order your dentures.

Periodontics
Periodontics means the branch of dentistry dealing with health & disease of tissues investing and supporting the teeth.

Four basic tissues compose the complete periodontium :
1. Gingiva (The Gums).
2. Cementum (The layer covering the root of the tooth).
3. Periodontal ligament (soft tissue cushion between the tooth root and bone holding the tooth).
4. Alveolar bone (part of jaw bone which is housing the tooth root).

In health, these periodontal tissues make the attachment apparition of teeth, keep it firmly in its place and help in bearing the forces of chewing, biting, swallow and speeds. But when they are progressively destroyed by the presence of peenodontal disease, their oceans weakening of this attachment, making the teeth loose and unable to bear the loads of various activities and ultimately both falls out in course of time.

Ceramic Veneers

Ceramic Veneers are thin Porcelain facings that are bonded to the teeth to improve appearance. Porcelain laminate veneers (Ceramic veneers) can correct imperfections (chips, cracks, gaps, misalignments and discolorations in the front teeth) to help you achieve a magnificent, durable and long lasting smile. In some cases it can even protect the teeth from tear and wear. It is an attractive option for people who are not interested in orthodontic braces to straighten teeth. The whole procedure can be completed in 2 dental visits during one week and produce ultimate durable aesthetics.

Ceramic Veneers are very thin, custom made shells crafted of tooth colored materials designed to cover the front side of the teeth. Veneers help people accomplish a healthy, natural looking and beautiful smile with little or no discomfort.

Child Dental Care
Babies require daily dental hygiene care in order to prevent mouth irritation and tooth decay. When you take the time to develop good brushing and flossing habits from an early age, it will make this often monotonous task part of their daily routine; for a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. Teething can begins around 3 months old but typically begins when your child is 6 to 7 months old. Signs of teething may include:

* Excessive drooling
* Irritability
* "Gumming" or biting
* Appearance of a rash around the mouth, or on the face
* Decrease in appetite
* Excessive crying
* Loss of appetite
* Feverish
* Changes in bowel movements
